The pacificp and ppediesel threads are inaccessible even though they pop up on the Google machine. They had a lot of good info and Hog claimed noticeable gains from 3000+ over stock. The 3 bolt intakes like I have are apparently impossible to find anymore. But the real appeal to is, at least for me, was the fact that the Whipple would fit it and allow the use of normal injectors. We're I to be NA, the Ramjet would also be a decent, albeit not cheap, option. They even quit making the plenum spacer so your options are pretty limited. With a stock motor though, there is cheaper lower hanging fruit.

You'll have better answers if you give more detailed information in the future. Such as your future plans for the truck, specific use...

There are carburetor intakes for Vortec heads. You'll need a ton of modification to retrograde to carburation though.

There are marine intakes, though good luck finding one...

If you want to keep it mostly stock, there is no upgrade for the 2 piece Vortec manifold assembly. Thank OBD2 and CARB for that.

i was just about to suggest the Ram-Jet setup. But even then, I do believe a decent amount of things will need to be changed.

I did a lot of driving on hilly interstates ( California) years ago. I found a stainless 4" duct, removed my grill to, cut a 4" hole just behind the passenger headlight. I fabricated a 4" attachment to a 4" x 12" inlet, jut to the right-edge of the grill opening. It sort of created a 'ram-air inlet'. No changes to the grill attachment.
( The space was tight, but it is do-able )
I will search for a photo of the grill inlet.

is there any performance air intake manifold ? I have the efi
I have a marine intake setup if you're interested in a semi-stock set up. Cast lower, aluminum upper complete with fuel rails, fuel regulator and 8 injectors as well as 8 injector connectors. Just bolt on your stock throttle body. Or you can get a Holley 300-263 vortec style intake as a starting point for an aftermarket conversion. You'll need an EFI elbow to accept a new 4 bolt throttle body and new injectors as well as connectors and fuel feed connections.
