If it would be possible, instead of just cutting the wire bundle. Try to find any connector and disconnect and or remove grounds. Getting your new or replacement harness allowing a visual comparison of old and new. Then using the wire diagrams to confirm. Just a thought might save and headaches. Good luck.

Anybody knows where's those 4 fried wires on the last picture.. go to..? Seem to go down a tube to the starter maybe..? I'm lost there.
First Guess: One wire in foil shielding for the knock sensor, one wire for the Starter solenoid "S" terminal (insulation color purple.) Two wires connected along with the main battery cable on the big starter solenoid to supply power for the interior or some other electrical load.

Ok so I'm getting closer.. With the harness but now I'm kind of lost with some of the wires coming from the tranny... I'm talking about the bundle coming from the transfer case to the front of the truck going throu the little tube under the ground on the Rh top head... To the bottom of the frame to. A couple of relays or switches..
When burned... They're the ones on the last picture I. Post...
So now I'm lost cause there's 5 coming front the back of the tranny to the front and when I try to soldering them together I found only 4..
See in the picture here
Any ideas? What or where the extra one goes..? Thank you

GM factory service manuals for '91 and '92 can be found here, might be helpful.

Thank you very much for you rhelp on the diagrams... A lot of help.
But there's some miss matches also in some diagrams... Like wire color codes on some circuits...
So now I'm almost done with the harnees... Just finished installing it on the engine.... But I have 2 wires that wont match...
One is. A pink/black 18awg...on my left side of the harness I have it labeled as 12v ignition. And a gray labeled as fuel sender. This 2 are coming from the passenger side harness...
On the other side on the harness theres no pink/ black... Just. A brown /black wire left. And a gray /black wire.
I put here a Pic to show left and right wires..
Any help greatly appreciated...
Thank you again
