I purchased this spider fuel injector for 1999 Vortec 5.7L from eBay.

I just want to confirm it is indeed a genuine GM or ACDelco part and not aftermarket. The number stamped on the bottom is 91210168. I've seen others with a different number stamped, 17091626.

Did I purchase the wrong part? I've read that apparently there is a new spider for CPFI and another for MPFI. ???

I've read it, but it makes no mention of the stamped number 91210168, hence my question.

I seriously doubt that it is a genuine ACDelco or GM part. They can use ACDelco and GM part numbers all they want, so long as it doesn't say that it is, in fact, that brand of part or use GM or ACDelco logos in their advertising. Most sellers that sell genuine "insert brand name here" parts are sure to put clear pictures of the properly logoed box and any stickers or tags with that logo or part number. None of that is present on this unit, so I seriously doubt that it is a genuine GM or ACDelco. I would return it and get the Standard branded spider on RockAuto for $315.

Apparently the AcDelco part says Delphi on the grey plastic. It’s a crapshoot with AcDelco Parts, whether it’s made in China or not, much of it is.

But, unless counterfeit, if it says acdelco or delphi on it - chances are that it is a bit better than the ones that are assembled/shipped with no quality control what so ever.

Mine does have Delphi on the gray connectors. I am just not certain about the stamped number...why it's different than the usual stamper number.
