Okay. I'm losing mind. I CAN NOT find lower control arms for my 98 silverado k1500. Would anyone know where I could find them?

They're not a wear item. Replace the ball joints and/or bushings. If you need to replace the originals due to crash damage or rust, you'll need to get used ones from a salvage yard, or a private party that is parting out a truck.

Replacing the whole control arm as a new assembly was not so widely done when our trucks were new.

I looked on Detroit axle, they only have for c1500's.
The issue is that I have forged lower control arms on my truck. a: I don't even know if those are correct. b: I can't find replacement bushings for the forged arms. I'm having a big issue with my truck as it is, and 2 different shops haven't been able to figure out the issue. I've done pretty much the entire front end except the lower control arms, which I don't even know if that will fix my issue, but I'm just throwing parts at it hoping it'll get resolved. The guy I bought the truck from kinda really screwed me. Though I can't blame him entirely for my lack of knowledge, I can certainly blame him for taking advantage of it.

There’s a thread on this site I believe where some have substituted another material for forged LCA bushings. What about finding a pair of stamped LCA’s from boneyard and if needed replacing those bushings.

The forged arms are swapped in, which is a good upgrade as far as I'm concerned. Look up an 8-lug truck, for parts....you'll see the bushings for stamped arms, too since some 8-lug trucks got stamped arms. Rockauto has the bushings, but limited choices..... they're the ones without steel shells.

I've read that H2 Hummer bushings will work.

Yeah I had posted a thread earlier in the week and got a few people who gave me insight. I just don't wanna buy stuff and not know if it'll fit. These are what we're suggested.

Wow, I had no idea the K1500's lowers weren't made any more. I was able to find one Left on Partsgeek and a right on RockAuto. here are the links
recently bought mine because I'm restoring a 1990 454SS.
