Sorry I know this there’s tons of threads on this but I just want to fix my truck and I need some help. I have a 95 Sierra z71 that runs super rough and I don’t daily drive it anymore but I love the truck and I can’t let it sit around the corner collecting dust anymore. Previous owner never did any maintenance so I’ve been playing catch up with that for 3 years of owning it. But down to the problem. It runs really rough. Stutters and almost stalls when I give it gas and has no power until I get above 3k rpm. I’ve replaced the ignition coil, egr valve distributor cap and rotor, wires plugs and I replaced the cylinder heads a while ago and it ran great for about a year after that. It has good compression and what not and I made sure I timed it properly. It honestly feels like it has a few vacuum leaks. My plan right now is to replace all vacuum lines and rebuilt the tbi but there’s so much going on in that engine bay that I’m not sure what else to replace or what might be the problem. I’m going to check the fuel pressure as well to see if that might be a problem. What do you guys think or suggest. I apologize for such a long post, any help is much appreciated.

I would definitely pull the tbi and clean and rebuild it.. also have u check the PCV valve., easy to check and cheap to replace as a maintenance item..
whats coming out of the exhaust , any smoke ? have u pulled a few plugs and see how they are burning? do u have a check engine light on? u can jumper the giagnostic connector with a paperclip and get the codes,., u will get code 12 at the beginning and end. \if your going to keep the truck and wsork on it yourself, a scanner that reads OBD1 will save u alot of time and money,,, also get a hand operated vacuum pump to test EGR valve, egr solenoid, ect.
its possible you have a leaking tbi manifold gasket if its old. there is a spot on the bottom they like to deteriorate., pulling , cleaning , rebuilding the tbi is easy, just pay attention.
also look at the spray cone on your injectors at idle. should not be dripping,

Good idea.

Hell, yes.

FIRST things I'd do if that truck were in my driveway: Fuel pressure test, connect scan tool to verify all sensors and outputs.

This assumes that the usual tune-up items you listed have been checked/replaced as you said.
How old is the fuel filter?
