If the 90 degree adapter takes the large diameter filter how much do you want for it? Even if it doesn't take the big filter I'm interested!K1500 Oil Filter clearance.
I did not want to reinstall the 90 degree oil filter adapter, so I needed to find a shorter oil filter. However, I needed to account for the lower capacity smaller filter which would in turn require less oil in the pan to prevent overfilling and frothing.
I was able to use the 51069. Hope this helps someone else. See photos. Basically I need 4 less ounces per 5 quart oil change.
I have an adapter and bolts on eBay for $29 + shipping. There are several of them listed by various sellers but I think I have mine listed at the lowest price. It was on my old donor engine. Forgot I still had it and just saw it in a box of parts so I figured I’d list it.If the 90 degree adapter takes the large diameter filter how much do you want for it? Best of luck. Hope it goes well. I completely understand the emotional attachment to things.Awesome job volfan72! Really clean install and the truck looks great. I’m finishing up my 94 Sierra RCLB Smeding 383 install with Sniper. I had a 350 that I built in it run with the Sniper previously but cracked the starter mounting ear off of the block and decided to go 383 and a performabuilt 4L60E. This has been a little over a year in the making now but I’m also dealing with a 275K mile Michigan truck so I’m having to do some rehab along the way. I’m the original owner so I guess I’m just a little attached to it otherwise a southern truck would have saved me some grief along the way.
my engine dynoed at 426 hp / 475 lb-ft and I’m anxious to get it running. I’m running long tubes with 2-1/2” collectors. Previous 350 ran short tubes.
