Bought my '98 in '01.
Low low miles. All stock & original. Super clean. One owner.
Paid 10 g's.
If I wanted to sell it today, I'd probably get...10 g's.
So...no loss.
But not really.
An '01 dollar is only worth 62 cents today.
Then there's the 10+ g's or so I've spent on mods, over & above the regular maintenance.
I'd never expect to get out of the truck what I've put into it. That's a given. Always the way.
But...selling it for 10 g's would still be a fairly big loss on my part &, I would think, a pretty good deal for the buyer.
I consider 'a good deal' is when the buyer feels he spent too much & the seller thinks he sold for too little. It's gotta hurt both ways!
There's fewer & fewer everyday & they ain't making any more.
These trucks are on the same trajectory as the '67-'72's & the '73-'87 squares. The supply is going down & demand is going up.
Buy 'em up now before the prices get r-e-a-l-l-y stupid for the nice clean ones.

How much do y’all think these two will go for? Mecum has a handful of nice 400s and obs up for auction. These two are standouts for me with low mileage and that beautiful blue interior. 12k would be a steal for these.

On the white one***

I didn’t know they made blue leather bench seats I need one of those!

It has an LS badge where the Silverado badge should be. Also has gmt800 wheels did they put those on them in 99?

The pewter one***

Also has LS badge on it again a 99 So maybe that was factory? It has the saw blades so I’m thinking maybe those were oem for 99? It also has the Chevrolet badge across the tailgate I thought in 98 they quit that for the small badge in the corner of the tailgate? Also I don’t think I’ve seen a pewter with blue interior but that’s probably because I haven’t really looked.

I'll be real interested to hear what those go for. Especially the white one; OMG that's a virtually brand new truck!

That's not a bench seat in the white one. 40/20/40.
Or...buckets with the jump seat.
Each side has it's own set of tracks.
This is a bench seat out of a 400 that's kinda rare.
The ones I've personally seen were in Crew Cabs. ...and I walked away from both, not knowing about them being few & far between.
The next one I see is coming home with me!
I've seen pix of the same in Reg. Cabs & the owners claim they're original.
Both sides recline & some have lumbar. The console has cup-holders. Center seat belts.

Ok. I’ve never spent time looking at the headlight setup on those. Thanks for letting me know! I’m still not a fan though.
I have that front end on my dually.
On the truck in question, it's a billet version of the Mexican GMT 400 grille. Basically a GMC grille with a bowtie where the letters would be.
