So, since I've been gone for several months, time for an update.

Some of y'all may have heard me talk about what my employer did, but can't remember if I mentioned it. Long story short, they made bad parts and a helicopter crashed and killed the pilot. We were obviously investigated, and it lasted until two weeks before Thanksgiving. They shut the plant down and all 130 of us lost our jobs. I was able to find new employment about 3 weeks later. Getting everything in my life back in line finally, so I can start to get back to poor Elise now.

Elise is currently sitting in the back yard broke down and undrivable. At least two of the injectors are just puking fuel and flooding out the engine so bad that she won't drive.

Also planning to do the distributor, ICM, ignition coil, fuel pump and pressur regulator, and some other stuff while I'm in there.

My girlfriend lives up in Idaho close to Black Bear, so when I go to get her and bring her back down in a few months, I'm hoping to be able to get in for some live tuning.

I will be upgrading to 1 ton dually brakes up front when I tear the front end apart and rebuild it. Hoping to do the big 3.5" drum brakes in the rear at the same time.

May look into having the 80E and 246 rebuilt while I'm dumping money into her. Just have to see.

What's your stock RPO, JD7? I beleive that means you have to pull axle shafts to get the drums off. You might upgrade to a 3500 SRW axle with the JB8 brakes, and swap in the larger wheel cylinders for the DRW truck. If you have a factory rear anti-sway bar, you would lose that since the trucks didn't get them. I think getting slip off drums would be worth it, though.

I have a K3500, so I didn't have to swap axles. I do have the larger DRW wheel cylinders already purchased, along with most other brake parts, in preparation for a rear brake rebuild.

Man, I wish Elise had a rear sway bar. I plan to get the Helwig rear kit to fix the lack of bar. And I think she has JD7? Don't remember off hand. End goal is probably to copy LT and do the Dana 70 swap from a van for rear disks and a wider stance.

Is the NP246 the one with that autotrac feature? I picked up an 04 suburban 2500 4x4 project and it has those buttons. Mine says "service 4x4" on the dash. But I found the wiring harness down to the transfer case severed. I'm going to re-splice the harness and see if that fixes it.

I may try to tear down the TC, mainly to see if I need to address the pump rub issue. I've seen videos on rebuilding that unit, and there's a clutch pack similar to transmissions. Doesn't look too bad. Of course, that's what I think, not ever torn apart any transfer case myself, LOL.

Yeah. It's got the AutoTrac. And I don't particularly like it. I wish she had the InstaTrac instead. I'd even settle for the 243, but my goal is to get the 241 floor shift setup. I have everything that's not the transfer case or the harness for it.

Yes I do! I haven't taken them to any shows lately ( when we've HAD shows). I kinda figured I'd have to get an 8 lug truck to put them on, as all the times I thought I had em sold kept falling through. But I haven't found a truck either( wanted a 2500/3500 to have a real truck and get away from the issues 400 half ton pickups have, inadequate brakes etc.). Got close a couple times, but the truck got sold before I could get the $$$.
But to answer the question: yes I still have them, and yes they're still for sale.
