I have a 1988 GMC Sierra that we purchased in 1999. Apparently the previous owner disabled the warning buzzer. Where within the cab is the buzzer located and what would have been the easiest way to disable it? Is it on a separate fuzz that could have been pulled or would he have actually unplugged the buzzer from the wiring harness? Thanks in advance for your help.

the buzzer itself is a small black or brown box under the driver side dash, about 4" by 2" if memory serves. it plugs into the wiring harness box by the kick panel. takes honestly two seconds to remove.

edit: sorry misread, thought you said you had a 98 not an 88. im not sure if the 88-94 trucks are different than 95-99.

Kran; wow, that was really quick thanks for the fast reply. I went out and checked and there is nothing plugged into that area on my fuse block. I’ll try to round one up. Thanks again for your help!
