Post here if you have a simple question. This will help keep track of common info and reduce clutter.
A continuation of my last question. I need to replace the gasket that goes over the tbi, underneath the air filter. I took some pictures. The gasket goes under the "slider" (or whatever you call it) and seals the opening on top of the tbi, and underneath the "slider". Any help?

On post #1755 I gave you the Air Filter Gasket for that (see red arrows), it's that same part number above and below (pick the one that says it fits your 95). The tube (blue arrow) that goes to the back of the spacer is just a vent tube from the valve cover which helps to balance the engine pressure/vacuum caused by blow by, and/or the PCV valve on the other valve cover.

The EGR valve is behind the TB (red arrow). HTH

I have a 1997 GMC C1500 SLE 5.7 350 with a blown head gasket.
The upper rad hose bursted and I ran it hot for 2 miles like a dummy.
I’m wanting to replace the engine, but unsure what to buy.
My budget is $8000 and the labor will probably cost $1500+.
I’ve been looking at new Chevy performance long blocks.

Any recommendations?

Compatibility with the existing parts on the truck is my main concern.
A little more horsepower would be great.
My K&N cold air intake is going back on whatever I get.

I helped do an LS swap and when we were done, we were looking at each other and asking if that was it. We felt like it was to easy but that engine fired right up. No custom parts, except DIY engine mounting plates. We used a 6.0L LQ9 with the stock overdrive transmission. DIY offset plates will mount the engine and the wiring is pretty simple. You shouldn't have to replace the driveshaft but you may need the LS transmission drive shaft yoke. We wired everything right back into the GMT fuse block. The engine PCM was stand alone from a van and controlled the transmission, alternator, and A/C compressor. We cleaned out the A/C system and replaced the dryer. I treated it like a 134a system and got it going. If every swap was as easy as an LS into a GMT400, I'd be buying them and doing swaps on the daily.

Is there a good Wide-Band 02 made for these trucks (91 Chevy K1500, 350, 5 speed manual)?

I have this on my 88 feeding the EBL Flash-II ECM (instead of the 1227747). It comes with the Bosch LSU 4.9 O2 sensor. You may need to get a 0-5V gauge too. Innovate Motor Sports has all kinds of options. I bought this one on 04/26/19 and it's still working fine :waytogo:

I have the EBL Flash-2 as well. Do you have a gauge? Is it necessary?

No, I don't have a gauge, I can monitor AFR on the WUD that comes with the EBL. It's easy hooking up to the EBL, directions are on his website and on the CD (IIRC). If you want a gauge too, you can use the 2nd 0-5V output on the WBO2.
