I didn’t take the time to read the whole post. But anyways is that a 6.5 or just running the bumper?
Just the bumper, this bucket is 454 powered; But I do own a 6.5 that's currently a derelict project.

That truck will get it's own thread in time though.

He's a poser. :boxing:
I'm pretty fly for a white guy imo. Vanilla ice is the next best thing right?

Bought my wife a cclb dually 6.5. Been more reliable than our 2016 Acadia. I’d drive it cross country before I’d drive anything else we own

I missed out on a CCLB K3500 earlier this year, had a rebuilt 6.5 with 0 miles and like 30 minutes run time. The pattern seems to be the truck is either a drop dead reliable rig or an absolute nightmare.
My closest interaction with 6.5s has been with my brother's K2500 he sold last September, so it's a bit of a learning experience with it right now because it turns out there's a lot I didn't know about them

They can be great. Just depends on how well they’ve been taken care of. For instance I pulled water pump off to change it and it bolts on from the back of the timing cover and the timing gears inside looked like brand new. And it has over 200k on it. No blow by whatsoever. Been a very reliable truck. We love the 6.5 does well on fuel mileage especially with the 4 inch straight pipe all the way back. That made a big difference. You also have to make sure the pmd has been relocated. In their factory location they get too hot and won’t let the truck re start after it gets warm until it cools all the way down.

Vacuum pump failed and literally the only thing it operates is the wastegate. We deleted the pump and I ran a mechanical wastegate and installed a boost gauge to monitor boost.

Oh god I'm still doing stuff to this truck????? What a shocker!!!!!!!

It's been neglected ever since I moved, I've kept up with oil changes and greasing it; but it needs to go in for injectors and ignition stuff. I'm pulling my camper on a 3 hour trip and I really need to get the truck up to *****, and as soon as the crew cab is fully put together this truck is going to get washed down with all kinds of goodies.

Decided since it was nice, and I finally found the threaded inserts I've been looking for; I decided it was time to get some stuff out of my building and on it's rightful vehicle.
The start
