Yeah 125kpa at 2500' and 125kpa at 700'. Something is up. Even so it hits hard at 125. It blows the lid off of the timing table, so that boost timing puller is handy on the custom operating system.

The custom OS is a must when playing with boost, thats for sure. But yeah something has to be up I'd say.

Today I finally got off my dead ass and went after the passenger front and driver rear door auto locks that weren't doing their thing. Passenger front had linkage that was tweaked and not hooked up and routed improperly. Got it back the way it's supposed to go and that door was fixed. On the other door, I found this.

This was after I lifted the actuator into place. Snapped 2 new rivets in and good to go! Less than an hour's work having owned this truck for 5 years.

Alright I have 2 problems I need to deal with now. The first involves schematics and I'm over 1000 miles from mine and my personal hookup back home, so hoping someone subscribed or popping in can help out here. The 2 ignition power wires that go to the PCM are down compared to the constant wire. Constant/battery match at 12.21V and the switched powers are 11.48V and 11.68V. I need to know what path they take so I can determine which component (s?) is getting full power in and not out.

My other issue is a leaking hydrobooster. Have any of you ever done a reseal kit? Any kits to stay away from? It looks like there's just 1 kit out there that wears multiple labels and may be of questionable quality.

@JSlezak83 I'm gonna try and drag you in here as you seemed to have the schematics before. What I'm after is one that shows the ins and outs of the ignition switch if you're able to get to it. I suspect that's a cause of my voltage drop. I really wish I were home to compare to my 1500 to see if it's something I should give a **** about or not.

Went AWOL for a while, so I’m only just seeing this.

I’ll see what I can dig up when I get home from work this afternoon.

Sweet. In my typical ADHD fashion, I got distracted with other crap in the meantime. Like this seemingly benign power steering leak. Rather than overpay for a reman booster, I overpaid for a $25 seal kit to only use 2 seals from it.

I decided to leave the booster in the truck and try to split it on the firewall. This was way better than removing the whole thing like every Youtube video who only does the 2 seals.

I even caught all my mess. Not one drop on the ground! Didn't crack a line loose, nothing. Here's the leaky seal, this one goes around the piston and leaks out the weep hole between the booster and master cylinder when it goes.

The figure 8 seals the housing up.

I thought it was strange to find so much junk that came out of the booster, I'd just done a power steering system purge last year but thinking back I only pushed fresh fluid through the box and not the booster. It went right back together as easily as it came apart. I really don't know why folks bother taking them out if they're just going to be lazy like me and do the 2 seals. There was a problem though. I managed to make the leak much worse. I tore the damned piston seal when reassembling the thing and turned an ignorable leak into something so bad I couldn't even drive the truck. Were I back home, no big deal, go park the thing and let it sit until a new seal kit shows up in the mail in 2 days. Out here in Commiefornia? No 2 day shipping, and I head back home this Friday. So I had the privilege Sunday of handing over $400 to Napa for an overpriced reman. F me. Got that all back in and the truck is back with a slightly improved pedal feel. I'm thinking the original could use a full on rebuild, so I'll get another seal kit coming and do just that. Gotta figure out how the back half comes apart, I read on a Duramax forum it's a real asspain. Oh, and when I put it back together the first time and it started leaking I made a HUGE mess in the driveway. And forgot to run the accumulator down before 2nd disassembly because I was pissed and it sprayed everywhere.

Forgot to mention this little bass turd.

I don't ever recall encountering one of these on any other truck before. If there's a trick to it I didn't find it, I ended up shoving 2 picks in there and prying it open just enough to get the thing out of its ridge.
