Damn. I wanted to see the truck too.
The lights are likely the remnant of either a fleet or a dealership alarm system.
Back in the day, every car salesman carried a generic dealer issued key fob that would activate the dealer installed alarm.
Even if it didnt have keyless entry, it still had a "lot" alarm.
At the end of the day, after you were done screwing people on a car deal, we all had to do the "lot walk"
Thats where you walk around and make sure that every car is locked before you leave.
Some would lock because they had keyless.
And, being a Dodge store.
Some wouldnt.
So you had to yank on every damn door handle to make sure it actually locked.
That is why your door handles are ****** up. They are yanked over and over every day.
This was a Larry Miller Dodge store.
We burned through a good 30 salesman a month. Easy.
And every one of them left with a lot key fob.
I probably have twenty of them in a coffee can someplace.
When a car salesman quits, he just steps over the chain to the dealership next door.
And takes all of his lot security key fobs with him.
We used to drive into the Buick dealer across the street and unlock all
the doors just to **** with them.
And, I do sometimes struggle with my morals
But I chose not to have that fun anymore.
But it was all a ******* awesome blast.
Anyway, that odd blinking light or strange added component is probably a lot system or a lot added fleet system.
