I really enjoy the Cheyenne grilles in these trucks. So many people have converted them to the silverado grilles and I am guilty of it myself in the past. But you see so many of them it became distasteful and ordinary. I have a lot of unique vehicles, and I would rather drive this over a new $800 a month truck any day. Unfortunately it has the 5.0 in it and is hideously under powered. But it sounds good and I promise more people notice me at the gas station in this or my other (not run of the mill) vehicles than someone with driving a new truck that has 30,000 twins. Dare to be different.

It is not the original paint, I sprayed it a few months ago. It was flawless straight and was not in bad shape but I do body work for fun so I painted it. That's a steel 2in hood.
Looks good, that's the color of red that I want to paint my 97 C1500 project with.

I cannot get over how much better single lights look. Not to mention the tremendous light upgrades possible with a standard housing like that.

I agree, I wish there were better options for the composite style grilles. My mouth almost dropped when I saw the light output for those 5x7 LED headlights for the W/T grilles vs a drop in LED in a composite housing. I almost want to swap a W/T grille in my 96 just for the sake of better lighting since I’m driving a lot more at night now.

Anyone have the W/T model like me with the single headlights, Sealed beam?? I cannot find many pictures theyre so rare and any of them with a lift you can forget about finding inspiration through pics.

Who else has the single headlight versions of the GMC truck? Anyone have it lifted? Mine to start. Hopefully will be lifted by the end of the week. Unsure if lift kit bumper bracket will fit.

This is my 1998 C1500 WT 4.3L 5 speed.

It has an aftermarket grille. I painted the thing when I installed a free to me non dented front bumper. When I got the truck it was dented, and I lived with it for years. I mentioned this to a friend of mine and he donated the one in the photo.

I will be swapping to the W/T grill just to install the JW Speaker headlights. Mine is a Chevrolet K2500, but I actually like the GMC W/T grill more than the Chevrolet W/T grill. Here's a photo of another truck with GMC W/T grill and JW Speakers.

I had JW Speakers on my Jeep Wrangler, and they were amazing compared to the OEM headlights. They come with chrome or black housings.
