On my 98 2 door Tahoe, I still have my old Day 2 Billet Specialties 18" Del Sols

Old school billet, baby! I don't think I could ever go smaller than 20" again, but I do sorta miss the 17" Boyd Coddington "Fury" I had on my '92 nearly 20 years ago (installed 'em January 2003.) Hell, I miss the whole truck... :(

Yes - those Fury wheels are beautiful. Same goes for the entire truck.

While I do not miss all of the bolt-on OBS billet bling we had back in the 1990's-2000's, I do enjoy looking at the billet wheels of that era. I also love those old school 90's paint jobs too. This OBS hood popped up in a local CL ad

Thanks! Had that truck for a long time and it saw a few wheel changes over the years. It started out with the somewhat-rare OEM 5-spoke alloy wheels but with twisted spokes similar to the 6-lug 16" K1500 wheels, but they were 5-lug 15". Later found out these were typically used on the Mexico market C1500's.

This pic is from the AutoTrader ad where I found the truck in 1999, man she needed some love:

Quickly swapped out for a set of Centerline 15" Billet Stealth that I already owned:

Then some OEM 17" Impala SS (not the best offset for slammed trucks, in front, anyway)

The Fury's came in between the Impala wheels and the following...

Then my "I didn't know big chrome cast wheels sucked yet" phase, 20" Helo Skids

Then the truck got stolen, stripped hard, recovered ... then I slapped it back together as a mostly stock runner/driver.. eventually sold to a friend that turned it into a work truck. I put some squarebody Rally's on it at that point. Pic taken at my old GMT400 salvage around 2008:

That's pretty much a near-complete history of that truck while I owned it, LOL

Wow, I didn't know there were 5 lug sawblades. Not surprised at their provenance since you're in Houston though. I see the Cheyenne Mexican grille on a few trucks around town. I guess as many of our trucks as you've been through, you've seen all the variations.

I bought that truck in Atlanta, but I believe it had come to the sellers through their dad that brought it from Arizona/California somewhere, which explains the wheels, to me anyway. Already had the drop, all the plastic stick-on junk, a super-cobbled Y-pipe raise job, and a CR Laurence power slider rear window...as well as a really weak pearl white paint job, which I later took care of with the Caddy White Diamond job after I swapped the clip.

By the way, those wheels got sold to a friend back in ATL that did the niche salvage operation but with 3rd gen F-bodies. He got them for his car hauler trailer.

That first picture is exactly what I’m looking for. What width are those 15’s?
They're the stock 'Sport' wheels. 15x7.
Those 235/70's were on the truck when I bought it. A bit skinny for my taste.
When they wore out, I replaced 'em with the 454SS factory size.
275/60.
Some guys don't like the way the fatter tires look on the 7" wide rim.
Sidewalls pulled-in a bit. I like the idea of a larger footprint.
Some tire shops won't mount the 275's on the SS wheels as the tire is recommended to be mounted on a minimum 8" wide rim.
Even when they're shown original SS brochures & factory equipment specs.
I mount & balance my own so IDGAS. I've worn out 3 sets in that size on those wheels. Never any problem.
Those same wheels on my '97 @ 2/4 with the 275/60's.
