There are two really popular options for clear non-diffused composite style headlights in these trucks. If you want plastic lenses, Anzo 111004. If you prefer glass, Spyder HD-YD-CCK88-C.

Plastic Anzo:

Glass Spyder:
www.amazon.com/Spyder-Auto-Chrome-Crystal-Headlight/dp/B004WMF8SG

The Spyders seem to be out of stock in most places now though.

I have the Anzos in both of my '97s and I've been very happy with them. Personally I would steer clear of any smoked headlight housings as they will reduce your light output.

Also agreed. The smoked lenses look really cool, but the light output is definitely reduced. In my opinion they're just for a show truck that doesn't get driven at night....
Smoked tails will show very little light during the day too. Something to consider if you have to be on the side of the road with the hazard lights on. We almost hit a truck in this situation that we couldn't see the lights flashing on! Barely dodged it when it became obvious it wasn't moving.
Don't know how well your area's roads are lit, but in Houston, Texas area many are not very well lit. Stock lighting needs an upgrade on my Burb, the way we drive it! I put a SilverStar in when I replaced the passenger side low beam bulb a couple months ago. It's a brighter, whiter light; I'm going to change the other side soon.
