Stumpy got a roll pan for Christmas, so I started on the disassembly. Once again, the previous owner has taken something simple, and made it a pain in the ass.

The bumper brackets, and trailer hitch are welded to the frame, not good welds either. There's more bubble gum here than a little league baseball game.

Wound up using a combo of cut off wheel, sawzall, and hot wrench to get both off. Still a bunch of clean up to do, but wanted to atleast get the roll pan mocked up.

Used a couple ratchet straps to hold the bumper in place, while I cut it loose.

Roll pan on, with just a couple screws in it.

The bumper is still in pretty good shape.

Chrome and plastic are good, and no dents. The back side has had some of the jackass PO's handy work on it.

If somebody in the area wants it, they can have it. Otherwise, it's scrap metal.

Too bad you're not closer or I'd take you up on it. It'd be a good spare( and then nobody will hit my Burb and make me need one!).

How much did it cost to import it??
It'll stand me at right around 8000$ including buying it, shipping it, taxes and registering it here. But ive got to swap ut to UK spec lights, New windscreen, new tyres, both interior door handles, new ignition barrel, rear crank seal, battery.... that's what I think it'll need before I even send it for inspection

Yes one of our members has a 99 C2500 Suburban and he had to do a bit to it, to get it to pass the MOT. If our vehicles had to pass that strict of an inspection on this side of the pond, I think a lot of people wouldn't have legally driveable vehicles....I know there's stuff on my Burb that doesn't hurt the driveability but it wouldn't pass MOT.
Don't know if y'all are following our news, but that's one reason for the surge in fraudulent paper temporary tags; so people can bypass the Texas or other states' inspection and registration. Other major reason is people who want untraceable vehicles for nefarious purposes.

It came with a tag light, so wired that in. Nice of GM to put a plug right there...
