Hello, I bought a 98 GMC K1500 Sierra 5.7 from my boss. It has a new 5.7 engine, new rear end, and a new transmission. It has a regular suspension and 31.5” tires.
I put a 3” body lift on it. And I am currently putting a Rough Country 6” suspension lift on it. I already put the 6” lift on the back and about to start the front suspension lift. I have heard guys saying not to go over a 35” tire. I was wondering how it would look, ride, rub, and if it would stress the front end out with 37” tires…
And if 37” tires are okay… would you go 12.5” wide, 13.5” wide, or 15.5” wide? Of course I will have to buy new rims to accommodate for the tire size. Thanks

With 9" of lift can run 38s. I ran 38x15x16 boggers on a Tahoe I had. Tired 6" lift and 3" body. Cleared no problems, but was a dog cause wasn't regeared.

Yes, I have them on there with a Zone 6". The Zone is taller than the RCX (RCX is actually about 5" then you crank to get 6", Zone is actually 6"then you can crank to 7-8) but since you have the body lift you should be fine.

Here is mine as of yesterday with the new wheels and fresh trimming. I have almost no crank on my truck, my CVs are pretty much flat. I'm going to crank it a tad since it rubs a bit with the wider wheels and spacers but when I had it on stock wheels it was fine with just minor trimming.

These are x12.50 and like I said, minor trimming only on stock wheels. I'm going wider for the next set of tires so that why I have spacers now for test fitting. The more they stick out, the more you have to trim. I cut the rear of the arch at an angle from the black trim strip to the bolt under the fender, just to clear the super wide setup. 17x9 wheels with 4.5" backspace. I also have a 1.25 spacer to simulate a 14.50 wide tire.
