I have owned doezens of these trucks in my life but up until recently I came across a Wrangler trim option 88 half ton Chevy. Bought it of course and now I see them for sale frequently. Anyone have info on the Wrangler Obs? Nothing really special about it other than the paint and emblems. Haven’t found any info on them online and as far as I can tell it’s a Canada only option. Extended cab one is mine, others are ones for sale in my area. Any info would be great, thanks

If it's a factory option it would have an associated RPO; if you could, get clear pictures of the SPID label (option code label) in the glovebox. I don't see any mentions of "Wrangler" (other than 3 associated with the tire of that name) in the big RPO list I have but that isn't a 100% definitive source; there's RPO's that aren't in each of those big lists.

Never seen one myself until these pics. I wonder if it's a dealer custom?

Just saying. Badges and paint were a way dealers could pump up the perceived value. The only difference is that now the end user can order the plastic badges straight from China.
Absolutely.. anybody can badge anything how they please. However, I'm about 99.9% sure that "Texas Edition" began as a legitimate GM package on the Silverados, maybe during GMT900 era, though according to wiki (not the most reliable source by far) it was offered beginning in 2015. I'm certain I've heard of the package before then, but not being GMT400's, I didn't pay a lot of attention. :D
