Nice Nova sewlow. No doubt a 12 is stronger than a 10 bolt. I do have to give props eaton though. The thickness of the carrier on the truetrac compared to the OE open diff, is huge. The truetrac has a lot more metal in it than the OE open carrier does. It does take different carrier bearings for this reason.

There's a reason why GM put them behind their high horsepower big torque muscle cars.
I had a 12 bolt in my 65 Impala SS 327, and a Dana 60 4.11 Posi in my 69 Plymouth GTX 440 - loved them both. But, IMO if you're putting out 400 Ft/Lbs or less a 10 bolt will suffice.
