I have a cracked head on my 98 K1500. I’m pretty sure it’s on a coolant jacket on the 8th cylinder. Is it worth getting it welded up or should I buy a junkyard head?

New castings are relatively low cost.
A $30 Pull-A-Part head is fine, but check it carefully. About half of them are cracked, and half of those are really hard to spot the cracks.
