I got some new updates on my truck. I Havent had a chance to post lately. Busy with work and life. Its a good break from work to work on the truck, even though i am a mechanic. Its different when its your baby, and not just a job. So i removed the rear bumper, added a roll pan. Swapped out the roof marker lights, to clear. I did replace the front marker lights with the amber lights. i added a light to the upper marker. Painted the mirrors, and wiper cowl to match. Got the A/c working, replaced the orfice tube, and dryer. Then charged it up. Put some led lights in the bed. Havent done much to the interior or suspension yet. Got my list of what i am needing, just trying to plan it out before ordering everything.

another update,, not a good one ! I blew a rear tire out last night.:banghead: The tire damaged my driver side rear fender. Busted the fiberglass up on the rear and front of the fender. tire tread came apart and had half the tire tread just slinging around. i was thankful it didnt happen on the interstate, or other highway, and not a secondary road. i was going about 35 to 40, when it blew. knocked the marker lights off, and broke a section off the rear.

Not sure if i should repair it or just replace it. I never worked with fiberglass. Plus not sure how it will last after repair.
if anyone has repaired the rear dually fenders let me know some tips, and ideas.

Yes, I have the piece that broke off. It seems like it fits. It is has smaller pieces busted in the front of the fender and knocked the light bracket off.
Then it's fairly simple to put it back together. You can get a fiberglass repair kit at most auto parts stores, it's a pretty straightforward job. If you're missing pieces and have to fab up parts it can be a huge pita.
