no way any GNX, Turbo Regal or Grand National's are worth that imo. Lots of mopar stuff is just as crazy.
Maybe us GMT400 owners are ahead of the curve.
Would love to see one come in on *****'n rides .................
I definitely wouldn't, much less couldn't pay that for any 80s Buick and I love gnx cars. Yeah, it's insane how a 71 Hemi cuda convertible fetches 2 million at barrett Jackson. Freaking billionaires have ruined it for us blue collar car guys. Lol

Yeah regular Grand Nationals are relatively cheap. GNX are very rare and command high prices. A regular GN or 454ss are still affordable these days. Granted they aren’t exactly fast by today’s standards where you can go buy say a wrecked F150 with twin turbo Ecoboost and throw it in a S10 and go murder people.
I’ve seen really well maintained GNs sell g for 12-15k
Are the grand nationals cheaper than the GNXs? Because those mffers are crazy high.

The truck in the OP was more interesting before the resto, it looked like a nice survivor. Now it will be someone’s garage queen??

Ive been around the collecter car restoration bis for a bit.
And my wife is an antiques broker.
Those businesses are very much the same.
She said that cars are a unique type of American art.
And they are.
The Italian cars are also in the running as is the Jag.
In both businesses, if you want to get absolute top dollar for something it must be either so rare that price doesnt really matter.
Or so perfectly and professionally restored that a couple of people want it badly.
And this is where the problem starts.
You cant sell anything for big money unless you have acess to people with big money.
And you will not get big money for your 10 year home restoration.
No matter how good you are.
Because you are unknown and dont have any provenace.
Auctions like Barret Jackson and all the others are just a snob show look at me!
Thats why they film the winning bidder.
Its a Miss America pageant for old guys.
Dont restore cars kids.
Unless you plan on keeping it
It aint worth your time and stress.
Find em, wash em, buy em cheap and flip em.
Cars dont make you rich.
cars kill your lawn.
Cash in hand makes you rich.
Get the cash
Dont fall in love with the wreck

yeah GNX is the super dooper special Grand National version of the grand national. Funny thing is the T-type is actually more rare than the regular GN.
I would buy a T-type because it’s a nice sleeper. Looks like grandpas car.

I was watching this Monkey garage show and the main dude was out buying a 1972 Mach 1. I was looking for one to restore. LITERALLY overnight the prices on those things shot up to double what people were previously asking. Seems like if a car gets popular ona car to show it blows up in real life price wise.

As far as crazy prices......I was gassing up my 99 f250 diesel and this guy literally came from one lane over and flat out asked if it’s for sale. He offered me 15k on the spot. I declined. He just went up from there. I finally took his number just to get rid of him. I’ve had people say nice truck and ask if it’s for sale in the past , but I never had anyone so aggressive on trying to buy it
People are freaking nuts these days.

99 F250? With a user name 1989GmcSierra?, you switched teams??? Not that there’s anything wrong with that, :)
