Hey everyone - having a tough time finding info on this topic.

I have the frame rail PS cooler assembly that GM no longer makes. It is leaking profusely so I purchased the long rectangular one that is supposedly a replacement for the frame rail style.

I have read that other members have this as a factory unit on their trucks but I cannot figure out the hose routing and mounting specifics. Does anyone have some photos of this thing mounted?

Thanks.

Here it is on my dually standing up next to the driver's headlight. This is the factory location.

There's a hole in the core support that the lines get fished through farther from the center of the truck than the cooler.

I always assumed the PS cooler came on all of these trucks? Is that not the case?

I don't own anything older than a 99 though. My brother has a 90 C1500 and I think he said his doesn't have the PS cooler.

There was a thread a while back, and I don't know that anyone came up with a reason as to why some trucks didn't get it from the factory? Maybe I'm making that up?
