You'll need a generic adjustable proportioning valve. There isn't a drop in solution so you'll have to adjust it up yourself. It goes on the line leading to the front brakes.
Holdoff or metering valves go on the hydraulic system for the FRONT brakes of a front disc/rear drum system.

Proportioning valves go in the hydraulic system leading to the REAR brakes.

For the record...if you are in a collision with me, and I find out that you've disabled your ABS, you'll be explaining why you tampered with your brakes to a judge and jury.

On the ******* abs comment, most of the abs systems in these trucks doesn't work anymore to begin with. The cost of a new abs module is so expensive it isn't practical, and a failed factory one can cause some serious issues. On mine in particular, it would sometimes randomly engage the abs when I was trying to stop normally, causing me to roll right past wherever I was trying to stop. I'm lucky it did that when I wasn't trying to stop behind someone, because I would've rear-ended them. So try explaining to a court why you rear-ended someone instead of fixing a known problem.

The "OBS Lawyer" strikes again! People come to this forum to learn about working on their trucks. Leave your 2-bit/armchair legal ideas at the door.

Absolutely. I should refrain from correcting other peoples gross errors because bad information is better than good information. People coming to this forum to learn about working on their trucks need to learn the hard way, so that everything is more difficult and/or less-effective than it needs to be--and that way they retain the lesson better.

Warnings about liability consequences for substandard repairs/modifications are a disservice to the community because lawyers and Prosecutors never go after individuals, just major corporations.

Thanks for the tune-up.

They also need to be aware of the ramifications of their actions from working on their trucks. Parts being too expensive is not a legal defense. An informed person can decide for themselves.
My ABS is working but if it fails I will likely bypass it, I already bought the adaptor. I will make that informed decision even though I daily deal with repairing vehicles exactly as the factory says.
