Having the exact same issue with my '96 Tahoe leaking from the top of the barn doors. You end up getting this resolved? If so, which part(s) did the trick?

i bought the LMC kit and added a 3" strip of flat weatherstrip gasket along the "triple joint" where the 2 doors meet in the middle on the top body-side gasket. with the new gaskets i was able to shine light through a gap in this triple joint and the 3" strip of added gasket resolved it completely. took a few tries to get it positioned right.

Where can you buy the flat weatherstrip gasket? I just want to add a strip of something but want a cheap solution. I don't have any leaks/etc. Cosmetic fix.

Hardware stores and home improvement stores should have weather strips on a roll or maybe in stick form. We used the sticky back roll stuff on one of our old square body Burbs. Back doors were so drafty it was cold in the summer. Fixed it up with the new strips filling the gap.

Currently my 99 barn/cargo doors are leaking, did you add the weatherstripping on the door side or the vehicle side, Ive also been thininking of adding a long strip on top the "triple joint" to act as a gutter almost. Im looking into getting a strip, did you add yours for the entire length or just a small portion of where the gap was?

Hope you respond to this.
Thanks,
Tahoe Tom

we tinkered with it for so many hours. could never get it to leak during tests, only leaked when driving through rain storms. i have a small 2-3" piece on the triangle part of the gasket on the pass side door. what i THINK finally fixed it was by adding 3m weatherstripping adhesive along the back side of the entire gasket that runs around the whole perimeter of the cargo door opening. i used like 1 1/4 tubes of 3m part number 08008. i still have some water here and there but nowhere near as bad as what it was

Does the upper weatherstipping need to make contact with door or is it just a rain channel? There's a gap in mine where it doesn't quite touch.
