Wow it must been a long time since i painted auto.. is that the going rate?

WA - U9794 bright teal metallic is the color i need. Without being too much of a cheap ass, could i get walmart to blend to the color? Of course i5 wont be show quality but alot better than what i have. I need it for the complete tailgate.

I painted the two tone using rattle can duplicolor so i cant imagine walmart metal paint being thst much worse.

$25 a pint was going rate for the cheap PPG Omni enamel last time I bought some, may be higher ....single stage PPG would be higher, and base / clear higher more.

Not uncommon to see those types of prices. I Have paid close to $200 for a quart of base not too long ago. Forget the code but it was newer GM charcoal gray. It did have high pearl content. Several other colors in the $150-180 range for a quart.

For our trucks just fine but they can't mix some of the newer colors in Omni. The mixing system lacks some of the toners/pearls Which is also typical with Nason and some other paint manufactures low tier products.

Low-voc, national rule compliant, yadda, yadda, yaddda. Every time the EPA get's involved the prices go up. Paint has quadrupled.

Black and white are cheapest colors
