I need better lights. My housings are yellowed and hazy looking at something the kits from Top Gear or other. Hoping for some pics and source of some options. Looking at the full kits like this. Thanks

If you're referring to Top Gear Auto Sports, don't buy from them unless they have something specific you're looking for that nowhere else has. Their customer service is atrocious and they price gouge everything.

Also a word of warning... The headlight housings that come in those kits are sometimes complete junk. IMO you'd be a lot better off picking parts individually so you can get a decent set of headlights from Spyder or Anzo.

Good information thank you. ever since i did a search the freakin top gear adds keep popping up but i have not dug all that deeply. I want to keep the old school look with just a hint of new school.

No problem! For what it's worth I run Anzo 111004 headlights and Anzo 211140 tail lights in both of my '97s. Still running standard bulbs almost everywhere but I really like them.

Here's some pics. The tail lights on my red truck are a little darker than the 211140s are usually, I had a body shop tint them slightly to match my corner lenses. The ones on the 'burb are stock.

Please do not put LED or HID bulbs in a Halogen housing. The filament location isn't right and the downrange lighting will be terrible. If you want LED bulbs everywhere else go for it they work great. Get a no load flasher to prevent super fast blinking if you want.

For fun go to the Candlepower forum and look for LED in Halogen housings and watch the internet kersplode!:beatdeadhorse5::killer::flamingdevil::flamingdevil::flame:
