i also have a larg amount of hotwheels
If you have any extra truck hot wheels that you want to trade, I'll be at the Houston Traders Village auto swap meet in 2 weeks (March 13-14). I should have a fair bit of my toys there ( as many as my Burb will hold anyway! ) Thanks!

Yes my nerd card is punched. I was 9 when I saw the first Star Wars movie, I loved it. Took my brother to see it and Empire Strikes Back in 98 or 99 when they were re released in theaters before the prequels came out. He loved them too.
And now 2 of my hobbies/obsessions have merged! Interesting to see what else they do......of course since they did so much of the filming in the UK, it has to be RHD.....

Toys toys toys, I'm going to win!! I have 4 or 5 1/25 scale GMT 400's, including a 93 dually and mid-90's standard PU, a few years ago I bought 2 resin mid-8o's square Burbs, a model of an 88 that I had, haven't built it yet. Also have a resin kit of my 1965 Chevy Van, not built yet either. Got lots and lots of older Hw and Johnny Lightning 1/64th of all types, always loved their accuracy. I know I've got a 69 Blazer and some El Camino's. Only problem is my real truck is a 94 GMC Burb. Haven't seen any of those, although I found a '93 GMC step side sport truck at an antique store in Cashmere WA last year. Have collected 1/25 promos and models since the 50's. No 1/18 scale for me, don't fit in my 345 sf park model where we have lived since 2000. Sittin here in my recliner looking at a mid-50's red Dodge pickup sitting in front of my Route 66 road sign. and a 1941 Cadillac convert. and 8 N scale locomotives, mostly Santa Fe.

Great thread!!

The Brookfield Burbs are 1/24, and they did make a GMC version. And I hear you on the space limitations. My family has been living in a travel trailer for a year and a half; before that, motel rooms and the guest room in my cousin's house. I mainly collect/trade/sell the small scale stuff for that reason, plus most of the shows I do are 1 day, and I'm bringing only what the Burb will hold. ( which can be a lot, but still...)

Years ago, maybe in 2004 (it shows copyright 2004 on the back), when I was working for Werner Ladder, the company sponsored Brandon Whitt in NASCAR Truck Series for 1 year. They handed out some of these to some of us. It's been sitting in a drawer in my end table ever since. Does anyone collect these things made by RC2 Corporation (a Japanese co)?

Was just thinking that... I'll post a picture of mine here in a minute when I'm in front of a computer.

EDIT - Here's one.

Are the chassis plates on these correct for 4x4? Haven't had one in my hand to look at.

There's a market for the Craftsman truck stuff, but it's mainly online. Back in the day, I could sell nascar collectibles at swap meets and make money ( not a lot, but enough to make it worth my trouble). After Earnhardt got killed, a lot of people got burned trying to move stuff, and people got out of the hobby and moved on to something else. To answer your question, though, probably in areas where there is a track, and racing is still a big draw.
