Would the seal be any different for the tailgate vs barn door opening? LMC shows the tailgate seal in stock, but not the barn door.

Fitment is the same. But idk if its physical different. I bought a tailgate seal with the intention of swapping my rear to a tailgate in the future

GM parts diagrams are here. You cannot buy anything from them (and it’s loaded with pop up ads) but it comes in handy.

Yeah, I noticed that they are different part numbers, but how different could the opening be? Also, it is just a roll of weatherstrip, as long as it is long enough, I should be good, right?

Tell you what.. take a pic of yours and I'll take a pic of mine. Like I said it will fit for sure only thing that I cant remember is thickness or top design towards roof.

LMC finally got the rear door seal in stock. I replaced all rubber on the back doors - seal around the opening, top gutter seal, and the pieces in between the doors (over $200 worth!). Doors sure seem to seal well, but unfortunately they still leak exactly like before. I could see where water got through the seal above the passenger side barn door.

Any thoughts on how else to fight this?

Well sorry for the delay. Been busy. Heres some pics of mine. Not the final outcome but more of a test. I replaced most of my rear seals. Still had a water leak. Went to home cheapo bought some foam gasket, installed it across the top.... no more leaks. If you want. Cheap easy test. And you'll probably Solve it. Assuming water not leaking from pillar, glass, roof light, or cargo rack

That's the stick on roll weather strips? Looks like it but wondering. May do this on mine soon; don't think it leaks yet, but don't want it to either! Thanks
