From what i understand the calipers with the 75mm pistons(1/2 ton) are the low drag type and the 80 mm and 85 mm (3/4 and 1 ton) are conventional type. Not sure about the booster will they let you test fit it at he store or will a JB6 booster fit in your truck?

The booster will fit! There are more than two calipers for the 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks . You must know which system the truck has to determine the caliper piston size, then you might be able to determine if the calipers are low drag or not.

So your going to use vacuum jb7 mc like police Tahoe/Tahoe limited?
Yes,I'm not sure what the police package came with, it might even work with the low drag calipers since it was used on the JD6 systems (hydro boost version of the JB6 system). Not sure what brake code is for the police package is.

I plan to buy the calipers new. There is an option for brake code where I plan to purchase from. I will also measure to be sure myself. Thanks for your info. JB7 mc JB7 calipers JB5 booster should work together. Once I finnish this I will be moving to the rear. Plan to do a drum to rotor conversion. Any good info on this?
