Since there is only about 1.5" of room behind the ash tray, a flush mount USB charger wasn't an option (the measurements mars2878 sent showed about a 2" OAL length). I wanted to give you guys the option to buy whatever USB outlet style you wanted, and leave room behind it for wiring, etc. In this second iteration, I angled the port 45 degrees which bought a lot more room. At it's furthest corner, it only extends out 1" from flush with the door panel.

Wow, thanks for taking my recommendation and making these, but you've priced them out of my budget. Still, I'm glad they're an option for guys doing restorations.

Thanks for the input. The technology we use and the hours it takes to manufacture these products meant that even at the current pricing level, the margins are pretty small. At least the option is out there, and hopefully we can refine our processes to drive prices down further.

This design looks like a good option for those w/ the large ashtray in the rear doors. ie: 92-94 Suburban's.

For someone like myself who would like to put these in place of the large ashtray in the 3rd row of our Suburban, that angle might be too much. As the mounting surface is already @ an angle. There is enough space to mount it straight in. My suggestion is to print one & see how it actually fits/looks. If you don't have access to one, I'm more than willing to help out & use my burban as a test bed & give reference pics & what not.
