Question about oil pan bolts

Hey whats up guys i just put a new oil pan gasket on a 350 i have on a stand. I did everything right but in hindsight i forgot that my oil pan bolts still had oil on them. Should i yank it back off the block and re do it or should it be fine? If i do have to re do it will the brand new felpro gasket be good for a re snug or what do you guys think.

The only real potential issue is that oiled threads torque to a higher value than dry threads. Truthfully it would probably be fine.

Thanks for the response its much appreciated its my first time doing this. The oil left on the threads wouldnt get between the gasket and block or the gasket and pan and make the gasket fail would it? I didnt even think about the torque but thats a good point

The bolts would have to be almost dripping wet to cause a sealing issue.

FWIW, the only bolts I torque to spec are head, crank main, rod and flexplate/flywheel bolts. Everything else is is just "tight".

IMO most other bolt specs are published to prevent monetary claims. If asked "did you torque it to spec" and the answer is no theh they are absolved of any liability. Like I say, my opinion.

right that seems logical. But would you say that the oil left on the bolts would cause a leak? When i took them off the pan i put them in a cardboard box and there was enough oil on them for there to be some left on the carboard before putting them back on
