This truck is really shaping up, it runs great, and looks great, it just needs more reverse.

Reverse is really starting to slip, it feels like the band is worn since it doesn't act different whether it is cold or warm (not a bad reverse piston)

And I don't think the sunshell is cracked since it doesn't make any horrifying noises when reversing.

I just poured another bottle of stop slip in there, and in hope that Reverse hangs in there since it shifts through all the forward gears fine.

My local junkyard had a 1/2 off special on all exterior parts, so I pitcked up this.

My old headlights are seriously yellowed, and there seems to be some sort of wiring issue where they aren't working right now

I decided to hit a bird with two stones and upgrade the headlights to sealed beam units as well as change over to the composite front end.

I like the other grille better on the truck, but the headlights ruin the look I am going for.

I've been searching for some of the 88/89 quad sealed beam headlights (Like I used to have on my '88) but haven't found them yet. So I'll probably put the other grille back on as soon as I find them.

I got the headlights wired up.

And on a more important note, I finally found someone to rebuild and reinstall my transmission for $1400 with a warranty. So I am going to go ahead and have it done as soon as I have the dough.

I could save $600 by doing the replacement myself (I have replaced a couple transmissions in my time). But I like the idea of dropping the truck off and picking it up fixed
(I want to avoid my usually transmission replacement routine of blowing cooler lines, torque converter bolts falling out, and the fuel pump dying 10 miles after transmission replacement leaving me at the side of the road. I'VE HAD THE FUEL PUMP ON TWO SEPRATE TRUCKS DIE ON MY FIRST DRIVE WITH A NEW TRANSMISSION).
