Here are a couple pictures of our trucks.
The Red C1500 Silverado has 83K original miles, 5.0/auto.
The White K2500 Cheyenne is my project, 5.7/auto has 146K miles. I bought it not running a few months ago. The engine was blown. Just installed a rebuilt 5.7 and took it on it's maiden voyage yesterday. I have a few issues that need to be sorted out, such as, I'm not getting power to the control panel (fan/AC/heat controls) and I can't engage the the 4WD.
In which forum should i post my issues?
I have been snooping around here for a year or so, and have learned a ton! Thought i would share too.
Thanks,
Joe

Nice trucks. Both look great
Thank you!
I was lucky, I found the red one locally, in northern Illinois. The guy who owned it moved up here from Georgia and then parked the truck next to his garage. It sat there for more than 5 years. He was moving again and put it up for sale. It wasn't running when i bought it, but it was very original with 76K miles.
The white one was purchased in Kentucky. After dropping my son off at college, I was on my way home with an empty trailer. Found this truck for sale on facebook with a blown motor. It is rust free from Washington State.
I love the styling of these trucks and the fact that they are easy to work on and parts are pretty reasonable.
I have more plans for the white one. I will post more as i move forward.

PolarBear has the issue with the HVAC controls detailed somewhere on here if I remember correctly. Normally a burned up power wire in the engine bay side, if I remember correctly.
