For anyone who finds this thread lol

When in doubt rip it out. The storage boxes in mine were already smashed so I just ripped it all out. Coincidentally the bottom of the storage holder remained so I can still clip in my lug nut handle. Luckily I have a single sub box so I didn’t need a lot of room length wise but needed the box out so my sub could sit on the floor so I didn’t have to hug my steering wheel.

I guess I got lucky. 7/32" 6 point socket and 1/4 ratchet. Bolt gave no resistance.

I had to remove my spare tire tool box in my 97 earlier this week to find the cab mount cover in the cab. Pain in the ass. It's not going back in, practically ruined the bolt with vise grips. Oh well, now I get more space!

BTW a heat gun or blow dryer can be a way to warm up the bolt so the penetrating oil gets in there. Not too much though! (winter time only!) A sharp smack straight down on the bolt can help jar the bolt a bit too. That helps to get the oil where it needs to be.
