Dont remember if it was mentioned or not or if you do can curves w/ a 3D printer or not, but what about a console door?

The Flip door @ the front that would cover the cupholder/cd tray.

I hear alot of guys complain about broken hinges.

If possible w/ reinforced /thicker hinges.

Especially on 60/40. Those hinges are going one by one. Gonna have to figure something out when she flies off

A popular mod is to swap these HVAC knobs out for a newer set from an express van:

They're a direct swap, however, the headlight knob requires some dremel modding because the newer knob doesn't fit the "selector rod":

Perhaps you could print a new shaft / rod that has a male end to fit the new style knob?

They would need the specs for the modded shaft.

Would this work for you?
Got it off of Amazon.

Yes, I have seen those, and they would work, but I would need a blank in the hole the ashtray is in now to mount it in.

Edit:Espacially if there was a circular depression in the blank so that the USB/audio jack mount set flat.

I've been designing the cover to use one similar to these. Can you get me a measurement of the overall length of the USB port body, from the face plate to the back, as well as the threaded section's diameter? From what I measured, the OE cigarette trays have 1.575" of clearance from the face to the inside of the door.

Using this style, it fit the stock pwr port hole in the dash.

Using this style, I had to slightly enlarge the stock hole for it to fit.
