I’m at a cross road guys with the truck. I don’t really have the time to do a full paint job on the truck until I get my old mans 67 fully done. But I’m kinda tired of the 90s paint, to the point I’ve thought about selling it because I hate painting over someone’s hard work. But gm only made these shortbed Duallys for 2 years and I’m sure I’ll regret getting rid of it.

I got some time off over Xmas break, I’m thinking about throwing my gmc grill on I have for it and using some hot rod satin black I got in the shop to paint it for now.

i really don’t know at this point

I have looked into wraps but they are expensive especially knowing I’ll be ripping it off.
I have the capability of painting it myself. Just don’t have the time to spend hours blocking it right now. I could scuff and shoot it in the hot rod black that I already have in the paint cabinet in a day, then when I have time to back and do body work and paint.

It sounds like you have a plan.

just do a wrap from the body line down. it will cover the 90s paint... could go silver or matte black... wouldn't look that bad or cost as much as wrapping the whole thing. i wouldn't be sad about coving that up. LOL it was cool 25 years ago... that style is coming back but, that one isn't gonna stand the test of time when it comes to cool factor. dont sell it though... you WILL regret it. No REGERTS

Above the body line the paint is wasted. Clear is peeling hood has paint cracks everywhere. Pictures really do make the paint look 70% better then it really does.
