Man that radio almost looks factory installed, the way you have it. Looks good!
Thanks. This dash kit has been in the truck since at least 2005. It doesn't have a brand or any numbers on it. The trim bezel that came with the radio fits perfectly in there and I love it. Also has just about every color preset you could want so you could set it to match the gauges if wanted. I have it set to red and orange fade because those are the only colors that don't hurt my eyes at night. My gauges will eventually be red too.

Not much to update on right now. Waiting for this "tropical storm" to quit dumping rain on us so I can try to work out the cooling issues and fix the trans leak so I can drive it more than a few miles at a time. Gonna try to flush the radiator as it seems to have a blockage in it somewhere. If that doesn't work, it'll get a new one, but I'm trying to save a little money for now. Will hopefully have some updates and more pictures by next weekend.

Well, the overheating problem is solved gfor now. Been driving it for a couple days now. She's slower than anything else I've ever owned, but she runs good and it feels so good to drive it again. Still need to get a couple night time shots of the new lights. Gonna try to get the ac working soon and do something with the exhaust as it is dumped under the cab right now with no muffler.

Put a few hundred miles on the truck over the last few weeks and it's done great so far. Went for a cruise last weekend with some friends and got the truck cleaned up for some pictures. Hoping next year to start getting her closer to the ground and getting ready for an engine swap.

No major updates. Been driving the truck almost daily for the past month and a half until yesterday when the nearly 300k mile 4l60e decided it doesn't want to act right anymore. Since I can no longer trust the truck and I'm currently unemployed to to corona, the truck will be parked until further notice when I have money to put a transmission in it.

Reviving this thread from the dead as I have finally got around to dragging the truck into the shop and pulled the trans out. Dropping trans off Wednesday to get rebuilt and truck should be mobile again very soon. I have 2 and a half weeks to have it driving and do a good shakedown on it before I take it on a 450 mile round trip to do some training for work. After that, I'll finally be getting around to installing the subs behind the seat. Will post pictures and maybe a video once it's done.

Just read through this....I love the 90s vibe going on. Those wheels always tickled my fancy. When I get around to rehabing my 91, gonna make it the truck I wished I had in high school in the 90s. Going to resist the temptation to LS swap it as much as I can. Keep up the good work, and keep up the updates.

I'm going to try and stick with the 90s theme but with a few modern touches like modern interior upgrades, bigger old school style wheels, and an ls. I heavily considered putting a sbc that I have in it, but this truck will see lots of road trips and eventually I'd like to have it making about 500hp at the tires so ls is the way to go to do that on a budget.

Today's up date is small but I took a picture so why not post it in an attempt to keep this thread alive. Pushed the truck out a bit this afternoon after work so I could clean the floor under the truck and pressure wash the trans. It had about half an inch of oily dirt caked on it. I didn't get all of it but it's considerably cleaner than it was before. I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow and hoping to pick it back up Friday on lunch break.

Transmission was dropped off today. Hoping to get it back on Friday. Also just ordered a new radiator and hoses as those are the only parts of the cooling system that I haven't replaced yet. Those should be here Saturday. Hoping to be able to piddle away at it a little possibly Saturday night and after work next week.
