I have been thinking about doing a 4.8 swap with GM3 turbos for both my CCLB duallys. We either run empty or heavily loaded. At 5-6psi when we are loaded heavy we wouldn't need to downshift as often.
One is a NV4500 the other is 4L80E. It is mostly flat around here and we go slow when we tow. My 2003 ECSB 1500 got a consistent 18.75 MPG even with 453,000 miles. Anyone done something like this?
