I've never seen a 1.5 din touchscreen but they had some that were cd and tape player if that tells ya anything about WHEN they were making them lol. A few companies made em, even aiwa back then.. I personally thought they looked goofy but they "filled the hole" alot better than a kit and a single din did.

I'm not the op nor the one who installed the radio. I'm just kind of surprised at how fast some people are quick to criticize others. I dont know why, I should know better.

I teach my kids that it's never to late to start over, use what you have learned and try again. Everyone starts somewhere.

I’m surprised some people are saying that it’s a decent job and somewhat congratulating OP and keep trucking on.

We all ultimately get it’s his truck his money and he can do as he pleases. But when it’s a absolute horrible job I’m not sure what OP is expecting. Kudos? Backslaps? You throw out something like that.....expect to get hammered. Some people aren’t going to be politically correct by telling you keep on trucking you’re doing well when you really aren’t. You’re just lying to a person when you’re telling them that. I rather tell them the truth. Maybe it will get them to try more or do a better job next time. If we just said good job buddy he’s gonna think it is a good job even though it isn’t.

If you really want a double din in that spot there PLENTY of videos on how to reshape plastic by welding, heating and epoxy filler and reshaping sanding etc.

How about offering some advice or constructive criticism.... like plastic welding... that's a great idea.

I originally said add some thick rubber trim around the hole so it dosent look so bad. I didnt see the missing side of the dash. That's on me but did I say anything about the missing side of the dash.... no. Fuckit. Moving on.... unwatching thread and I will take this as a lesson...
