Right there with you. My in laws tell me I could of bought another new suburban with all the work I've done on it lol. They just dont get it. Gm got it right when they made these trucks. The newer ones are just not the same. Tell you what I really wish gm would make a dedicated factory on reproducing a brand new 2020 chevy that was based on the gmt400 bumper to bumper..
Naw, that would be too much like right!

Some people, it's " just a truck", but to some of us, it'd be like selling a kid....my Burb is family LOL. Sometimes we don't get along, but most of the time we make a good team.
Same here lol. Were not talking right now... LMAO

I probably couldve bought cheap cars for what I’ve put in mine but it’ll stay in my yard before i sell it lol. That would be awesome if they came out with a newer 400!!

My gf asks me all the time would i trade it for a brand new truck and i tell her no. She looks at me like i lost my mind lmao. Her dad thinks I’m crazy for keeping it through all the trouble ive had with it. There’s just a bond that can’t be broke!
Exactly. Why go in to debt by purchasing a new vehicle when an old vehicle is just fine? Plus, newer vehicles are becoming more cheaply made and kind of a pain to work on. So many sensors, it's unbelievable.

On the subject of sensors, my instructor told us he worked on a 2013 Focus that had a SES light and the battery stayed on for 10 seconds. The owner had the alternator replaced, since it had a U012D code. Didn't fix it. Spent almost $1000 at some shop to replace it with a factory Ford one. Low and behold, it was the active grille shutter actuator that was bad... Of all things, it was that tiny little actuator, not the alternator.

I heard GM is "supposedly" working on a new square body with an LS engine and upgraded features. Why the square body and not a 400 is beyond me, lol.

Don’t get me wrong i will probably buy a newer truck sometime but it’s definitely not taking my trucks spot. That’s my fear of newer vehicles though, so many electronics and sensors. Maybe since they are working on a square body we are next in line!

Well who knows what theyll actually produce lol. I'm sure gm knows how great the 400s were. But seems like they want to keep them a legend lol. Plus gm does have a tendency to kill off good vehicles for some reason.... I really miss Pontiac... and would be nice to have oldsmobiles...
That is very true. I wish all of the aftermarket stuff was still made for these, instead of having to find something and pay an arm and a leg.
