So, im hoping sewlow replies as well as everyone else.

Done a bunch of dye and restoration jobs on interiors over the years. Typically, i use sem classic coat in an aerosol can.

However, the color chart i have here doesn't seem to have anything close to the two colors I need for the two interiors im doing this fall.

I know i can get it mixed by the quart. Figure i can use my small harbor freight paint gun to shoot it.

So, the question is, can i use my normal car painting spray gun?
What reducers/catalysts do i need?
How different in application and durability and adhesion vs the aerosol can stuff?

Yes, one interior is my 1995 Silverado. The other is matching custom seats in my miata.

From my experience with sem color coat dye is there is no having to mix, it is a 1k product just like out of the aerosol can. You can use your paint gun no problems. It will be the same durability and adhesion as aerosol can.

I use & prefer an HVLP gun to spray SEM. Both full size & with a smaller detail gun.
Much more adjustability & control than a spray bomb.
...and like Needs15 said, no need for reducers nor catalysts. Spray it as it is supplied, right outa the can.
I do recommend good agitation of the dye before filling the gun, though.

If you're spraying a lot and want to buy a quality gun I would recommend the fine x mini gun. It will work better and last longer than the Harbor freight gun. With spaying sem you don't want it to lay down thick .
