I'd fix the door sag, because that's relatively easy and is very noticeable to the buyer. I'd also fix the EGR because buyers in some states can't register a car if it has a CEL. I learned that selling my Beetle TDI. Also, check engine lights turn off buyers because there's the fear of "what else is wrong with that black box?" You're up north, so the A/C isn't as much of an issue, but down south it would be a deal-breaker. The rust is what it is, and depending on the buyer can be overlooked.

The CEL I unfortunately have no solution for, as the EGR valve is functioning fine and just throwing a false code (per two different mechanics who checked it at separate times), or the code may be due to small carbon particles that break loose in the engine are misread by the EGR.

I decided to fix the rust and door sag, as much as I can without professional body shop repairs (in both cases)... so those fixes are ongoing in my garage, and I plan to list the Burb on Ebay unless I get a buyer locally (or from this or another forum) before that. I've been watching many 3/4 ton GMT400 Suburbans listings on Ebay, and they have been selling for pretty attractive prices. Buyers there definitely know what they're looking for, and what they're looking at when it comes to the rarity of these 454/4.10 Burbs.

My '95 Suburban 2500 went off into the sunset with its new owner today. Most interesting part... buyer already has a '99 GMC Suburban 2500 and wanted another 3/4 ton GMT400 Burb in the fleet! He and his family (wife and 5 kids) are full time RVers and wanted their two main vehicles to both be able to tow their trailer/home. He was looking for this exact vehicle, and I can't imagine a better situation to hand off the keys.

Here we are making the exchange earlier today...

It's been a fun ride for 5 years and I'll miss the ol' girl. It's a good time to move on though, and here's the replacement vehicle (2005 Silverado 3500 dually) that I purchased last month for RV towing... eventually fifth wheel:
