C'mon... let me live vicariously through you! Lol!
I'd do mine this way, but first I would need money and talent.
Dually trucks look badass with flames! I have to find the pictures of my friend Jimmie's dually when he first got it. Back in the mid 90s, and of course it was a 400 series GMC! He used to haul his show cars cross country with it, and Rod Powell painted it.
The trick with learning how to do and lay out graphics is practice and playing with designs, just drawing stuff until you get a feel for it. I've been drawing flames and other graphics for years, doing model cars and artwork (done some posters for friends in bands). I used to doodle a lot, just sketching out flames and tribal style designs. Used to do a little bit of pinstripes on stuff too. There's just so much "canvas " on a dually (especially the crew cabs) to work with, and since 400s are a good clean design to begin with, not too many body lines to work around.
Rod Powell wrote a book on how to do flames and graphics back in the late 90s (IIRC) that is very thorough and informative. Can't remember the publisher, but probably one of those that does all the hot rod books. Should be available online, at least a used one. I have a copy, but haven't seen it in a while due to a lot of my stuff being in storage from multiple moves. Hopefully over this weekend I can get in the shop building and find several things that I have been trying to get to (like the aforementioned photos, PY0 wheels, other truck parts I need to list for sale, etc. ). Finally getting decent weather in Houston area, not so much sweat city!
