I bought another truck today. It's an 05 Silverado 2WD with a 4.8 & 220k or there about (I don't remember exactly), has some issues but was 1600$. The radiator is more clogged than someone who ate a few wheels of cheese, there is no thermostat (was told it was replaced, lies!), the cats are allegedly clogged/bad, something isn't quite right with the taillights, some of the turn signal bulbs are shot, there are no tag lights and possibly some other stuff I haven't found. The truck does run & drive really well before she attempts to cooking herself, and she has cold A/C to boot.

The front is ugly as hell (I really hate cateyes) but the body is straight, paint is good (most of it was covered with a company wrap for a while) and the only rust on the body is a small spot on the hood. The frame has some light surface rust but that's about it. I don't know who removed the wrap but they didn't do that great of a job. The truck is on some 22" American Racing rims.

Named the truck Turd Ferguson after it's looks and that she's a beater, I think the name suits it pretty well lol. She'll be my new DD for a while once it is all fixed up.

The previous owner used it as a work truck and trashed the interior and bed, the interior reeks and isn't a pleasant place to be at the moment.

I'll start tearing into the mechanical parts of it later this week.

Ms.Ferguson parked before she went on the flatbed wrecker

When I brought it home I started cleaning out the bed, it was filled with trash, moldy carpet and trees starting to grow.

The tailgate had a lock on it and I didn't have the key so I removed that, then the handle busted on one side. I proceeded to snap it the rest of the way off so I could open the tailgate to remove the rank carpet. The carpet got trashed then there was even more mold under it. I dumped some bleach in the bed, let that sit, then pressure washed the hell out of it.

Next was the exterior. It wasn't bad but she was dirty, the rims were coated in break dust and I though they were copperish instead of black. I also had to get the painted for sale stuff off the window. I hit the truck once with the pressure washer, then washed it proper. To get the paint off the windows I used rim cleaner. She's starting to looking better.

The final thing I did to Ms.Ferguson was start cleaning the interior. I HATE being in dirty vehicles.

There was quite a few used napkins and food stuff in the interior I tossed before the pics (removed the driver floor mat since it was f'ing gross as well), also you can learn a lot about a person by what information they decide to leave in the car they sold.

I didn't get to finish the interior tonight as it was starting to get stormy and the sun was setting. I did pull all the floor mats, clean them and remove all the trash though. Need to vacuum it, wipe it down and clean the driver seat tomorrow. After the truck is running correctly I'll start tearing apart the interior to deep clean and getting all the paint off of everything.

She now has some more lights. I put bulbs in the tag lights but need to get housing since there are none. My neighbor fixed my taillights by giving them a good smack, they all light up now. Something is wrong with the sockets that I'll have to figure out. My fogs work after a little wiggling, all the lights that have good bulbs now function.

I pulled both parking/turn signal housing out and drilled holes in them so they quit holding water, I never seen amber bulbs that had the amber starting to peel off, was an interesting sight.

Made some more progress on the interior, sprayed lots of Febreze in it before I started working, then vacuumed out the entire thing. I found even more food, wrappers, and used napkins under both front seats. Oddly enough I found an old school TV antenna shoved under the driver seat. I started to wipe down everything but didn't get far before it started raining sideways.

Learned the interior isn't water tight as well. Both half doors leak as do their windows. The driver side door is the leakier one and the drinker side has the leakier window. The driver half door doesn't open either, when you pull the handle something moves but the latch doesn't disengage.
