Hey I am looking for a good frame. For my 88 k1500 long box regular cab.
I know it's big to ship. But I don't have much choices.as there is none around here. I called all salvage yards in the book.
Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Gonna be a tough one. Years ago I was in a position to supply frames but nobody wanted them, so they eventually would find their way to the crusher, almost always with a stripped cab still attached.

I don't know how you'd even get one shipped unless you got it with the axles still attached with roller tires mounted so a transport could load it.

I think I am just gonna fix mine. It's not too bad. Just the crewmembers for the gas tank. And first bed mount.
I fixed worst before. Just got discouraged fast. This truck has a lot of sentimental value and I want it perfect.

If I was going to replace a frame and I had a K1500 (and I can answer yes to both these) I'd definitely get a K2500 frame since they're slightly thicker. Especially if I was going to have it shipped some distance...

Would have been cool to see a GMT400 wonderland... I'm sorry I missed it. I usually run about 8-12 years behind on being a participating enthusiast, lol.
