Just had the front two windows in my 1994 suburban put in 20% thinking it would match the back like the previous posts, But it clearly does not, even when looking out from inside the truck.

What gives ?

The glass on the 94 and earlier trucks is a different color and percentage. If you can look at a later model one ,you'll see it. Most of the SUVs are done as dark as they can get away with down here in Houston.
If you look at my Burb in the picture, you'll see what it looks like on the 95 to 99 ones. My Burb is a 99, used to have another one almost exactly like it, and they both have the dark factory tinted glass. I used to have a 90 Burb (square body Burb) and its factory tinted windows were so dark you could not tell if someone was in the truck.

Ok,

Does anybody know what % I would need to more closley match the tint that came on the 92 - 94 suburban and did they have an optional window package on these things that may be different ?

Gotta say, that's a might fine Burb! I would love to find a blue/silver one like that.

I don't but, why don't you tint the rest of the windows the same as your front? Here in AZ the darkest you can do the front windows is 35%. You may want to check your local laws. Here's my truck with 35% fronts, 5% (limo tint) on the back window and then, the flag on the outside. Nobody can see in from the back but I can see out (kinda), that's how I like it!
