Ok, I've been reading and searching and all that good stuff. I guess i'm going to try the resistor option to get her going. That said, I need to clarify a couple things. First, I take the pcm out and send it to Black Bear or just buy one from them? Second, am I reading correctly that when I get one or send mine in, they can put a performance tune on it???

Footnote; I've been reading on Black Bear website. 1999 K2500, 5.7, manual trans. WITH LAUNCH CONTROL TUNED INTO IT!!! Possibilities are endless!!! YeeHaa Lmaaaao

How do you know it's the multi-function switch? I changed mine last year related to a no-brake lights, but I don't recall seeing any circuitry that would cause the engine to stall. All wiring is turn signals, wipers, brake lights, etc. if I remember correctly. Any issue would cause some of these light to not work and a short would cause a blown fuse. Maybe I'm wrong?

Well I have multiple issues actually. Multi function change is for winshield wipers maybe work maybe don't. hi beams will turn off on their own etc...
I have a 2000 jeep tj sahara that had wiper and light issues. multi function and clockspring change fixed it. And I'm really not sure about the shutting off while going down the road. All I know is when it shuts down, clutch in, stick to neutral, key off, pop bottom of steering column with heel of my hand. Then my warning/dash lights come back and it'll fire back up. It's probably comical to watch but I've actually gotten pretty smooth. Never come to a complete stop. LOL

I found a yellow wire coming from multi function that seems to be the cause of the shutting down. But can't figure out wiper and light issue. Hopefully new MF switch will take care of everything.

Hope all that makes sense. I gotta go to work now to rest after that post ( typing is not one of my strengths).

You can do either. I opted to buy another from them, IIRC it was an extra $75 or so compared to just sending the original in.

Yes, that is correct. They can tune for performance, gas mileage, disabling things like Passlock, etc.

Don't get your hopes up. Our PCMs are very old compared to most of the ones that Black Bear can tune. Therefore most of the services listed on their website don't apply to us. These factory black box PCMs can take a standard mail order tune only, no fancy stuff like the scan cable tune or tow/haul button function.

Open the wiper control box, see the plug solder joints, reflow these and the problem should be fixed however reflowing all of the solder joints is much better. they were cold soldered which is having a circuit board that has hot solder on it and shoving the components in the spots as quick as possible while hoping the solder will solidify to the component, it dosent really but makes a connection. Reflowing the solder fixes these circuits. Iv fixed 2 of them so far.

Be careful with the yellow wire, yellow is usually designated to air bag circuits only.

Dang, I was planning on showing some of these fast and furious boys around here what some good ol v8 power could do.
Oh well, now I guess I'll just get in front of em and go slow. They REALLY like that.

Really? Good to know. Now I'll quit messing with it. LOL I actually think I need some of those plug pin tools or whatever they're called. Because it does seem like that wire or one beside it is the one with bad connection

Most airbag circuits also have a sticker wrapped around it that says srs airbag, caution. If you have to work on an airbag circuit definitely have the battery disconnected and use extreme caution. I had to resolder a wire back onto a ring so the steering wheel can spin and connect to the airbag. Super dangerous and I was ******** my pants trying not to overheat the wire or the ring and cause the airbag to go off. I had to fix this after replacing my ignition switch.
