I needed to replace my fuel lines so I just made AN lines. Was thinking about adding something like this:

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/...MI5da6otXs6wIVchitBh1IVwePEAQYASABEgLL-fD_BwE

Figured you can still hear the fuel pump run and build up pressure like normal but it'll only run for a couple seconds, would confuse me if I were trying to steal it.

Anyways, For alarms: I installed the Compustar CM7000. Was $70 or so on Ebay a year ago when I got it. Remotes can be expensive though. I also buy an extra siren so I have one for the engine compartment and one for the cab.

Sounds like an aftermarket version of passlock. That frustrated the #@$* outta me last year! Especially when people need to get to work and the truck won't stay running!

Inexperienced crook. trying to break that column like the old square body columns.
While I agree they were amateurs, because it's so easy to break those columns and get away with it quickly that I'm surprised his truck was still there..

Your statement confuses me, because the pictured column on a '93 which is the same basic column design from Saginaw ever since GM moved the key switch from the dashboard to the column way back in the late 60's.

Guess it's a "P300 LOK-ITT", not sure if they make them anymore, if I find one for sale I will post the link.

Seems as though ebay has some of those listed for sale now.

Theft has become such a major problem in Seattle that I have an entire set of switches in several spots that need to be set correctly before the truck will start.
Even at the gas station.
It really sucks but the ***** can steal your truck in less than a minute.
Or maybe they just car jack you at the pump.

So a little short and easy question,
At what ******* point did we americans decide that it was acceptable that we had to make sure that our wives were locked and loaded and ready to protect our kids before we left them on their own to go pay for gas because the card reader didnt work.
Yep, its a rant.
Go ahead and tell me all about it.
Its been a long ******* day

I was thinking about installing an NRG removeable steering wheel kit on mine. Kind of hard to drive away with no wheel. Although my co-workers mentioned that a crackhead with a vice grip might be determined enough

Are kill switches still a thing?
Yes, but a kill switch only works if you remember to do it.....
That's how my family got our first 400 series Burb. Our 84 square body Burb got stolen from the driveway. It had a keyed kill switch that Dad and I installed behind the grille. Long handle on the key, made a good weapon too. But he took my brother and I to our place from work, went back home, and came out the next morning to a pile of glass that used to be the vent window. Dashboard was partially disassembled ( Dad and I were working on it) but the truck was still drivable. But if he'd remembered the switch, maybe they'd have been slowed down, or caught.....
Oh well, it got me a good 99 Burb ( until it got wrecked) and then the one I have now. I miss my square trucks, but I like my current Burb too.
